These pictures were taken during the winter months of 1998/1999. I'll have some short explanations with each. This picture was taken on February 24th, proof that snow can happen here in north Georgia. This snow fall amounted to only few inches and lasted for only a day or so. Lucky there were no real problems on the roads and highways, although there were runs on the stores for milk and bread! This may be the only substantial snow fall for this winter season, which is certainly OK by me. (Click here to see a larger photo.) We haven't had many pictures of Indy and certainly none as part of the family website ... until now. The situation here is unusual, in that she's rarely allowed in the house. Indy is pictured here in the kitchen, assuming what for her is a typical resting pose: back legs splayed and front legs crossed. This is a really comfortable position for her, but a highly unusual one to be sure. Elizabeth had a formal at Clarke Central a month or so ago. She had agonized quite a long time over what to wear and had gotten frustrated in not finding what she wanted at any stores either here or in Atlanta. Jo convinced Biz to allow her to sew a dress for her, which you see Biz wearing in this picture. As you can tell, she was quite proud to be wearing it. (Click here to see a larger photo.) This was a close-up of Elizabeth, taken just before she left for the event. (By the way, she did have a date for the evening. However, it was just a one night kind-of-thing, so we're not taking up valuable web space with any picture of him.) (Click here to see a larger photo.) We didn't have a picture of Julia in this roll of film, but did manage to get one of her creations included. One of the kids that the girls baby-sit (Carmen) had a birthday party. Carmen really loves Winny the Pooh, so the thought was that a cake in this design would be in order. Julia, who loves to cook, got her hands on a Pooh mold and this was the finished product. Not only was it pretty to look at, it tasted great as well. (Click here to see a larger photo.) We often have Doug's friends over to the house. This picture shows Doug with one of his good friends, Jackie. Doug has taken a recreational physical education course at the university for most of the years we have been here in Athens. During that time, he has made many friends. Here he is seen with his girlfriend, Suzanne. Just like Doug, she tends to put on less than natural looks when posing for the camera.
